Going to Sydney Australia in April of 2020 . I have a metal plate in my back will I need extra screening? I have a paper from the last xray that explain exactly where plate is located, will this be information for TSA . Paper includes Physician’s name and when xray was taken

You will be ok, you are not the first. As your metal plate will likely set off the sensors as you are passing through TSA, you will need to be given a "wanding" with the hand held detectors as well as a pat down. Carrying the papers is also recommended but not required. Good luck!
